If you’ve talked to me within the last three months, most likely I’ve found a way to work in the name Tony Robbins into conversation. (Some might say way too many times in the same conversation, but, uh, he’s amazing.) If you’re not interested in living your life to your fullest potential, then you can stop reading here. 😊 So this guy has lived about 20 lifetimes in his time here on Earth, and what is so moving (for me) is that he started out with practically nothing. He grew up poor — so poor that one year…
As promised, this week is Wealth Week. Like I said in my previous post, I’m not speaking about money as somebody who’s already made her millions and is rolling in it. However, I’d for certain say I’m well on my way to creating my financial freedom. I’d like to point out an interesting fact: Napoleon Hill, author of the bestselling book, Think & Grow Rich, was not himself a wealthy man when he set out to write the book. Rather, he was commissioned by Andrew Carnegie to…
I’m so excited to be back on the blog! I’ve been invited to speak at a local women’s networking Meetup in the coming months on this very topic, blogging, and I realized I actually have no real right to be teaching this if I’m not actually doing it (duh). My friend and mentor Kris Britton posted this quote image to Facebook the other day, and I made it the homescreen on my iPhone. To be fair, I am an active blogger for two different businesses (not mine), however, I think I need to place a higher…
I’ve been eager to address this issue on my blog for a while . . . With travel in July and then an absolutely transformative extended weekend “spirit staycation” in Schaumburg at Tony Robbins’s legendary Unleash the Power Within seminar that then set dynamite to so much of my life, it’s taken me this long to truly get settled back into the everyday of normal life. (I tend to take the time I need to reset.) Anyway, I’m back, baby! Today I’d like to talk about the concept of creating needs in prospective clients. As businesspeople (or salespeople…
When I was a senior in high school, I was involved in each of that year’s shows (fall play, spring musical, spring play). High school was kind of a lonely time for me, so by the last year I found a lot of solace in drama club. One of the most active members of drama was a guy named Matt Ryd, who was always a fun — and funny — guy. Really good guy. After we all graduated (he was a year younger than me), I discovered that he was also a musician. He actively promoted his music, but because we…
A lot of times, it takes hitting rock bottom for someone to decide that change needs to be made in his life. This is many times the case for addicts or people with drastic lifestyle “maladies” like being completely irresponsible or unreliable, or even in the case of toxic relationships. I have a friend who says that he in a way respects people who aren’t ambitious, who aren’t hungry for improvement or who don’t push themselves to reach for their goals or dreams (or even have any to begin with). I of course responded with…
