As I manually repopulated the content of this site (originally created in 2011, accidentally wiped in 2019), I came across my old “current projects” page. This was a place where I’d announce my intentions I planned to engage during that time and hold myself accountable.
While my consistency game back in 2011 was obviously intermittent at best, the me in 2021 still loves this idea — a way to set an intention out into the Universe and hold myself through it.
As of this writing, in late February 2021, this is what I’m up to:
The Total Rebuild & Resuscitation of PamelaHsieh.com
- a redesign, with a brand new look from here on out: because pretty!
- a comprehensive repopulation of the original content: because even though I’ve steadily transformed throughout the past decade, this is an exercise in fiercely loving every iteration of who I used to be (and what I produced back then may be useful to someone else)
- replacing old non-stock photos with new photos of my own
- creating an actual new habit of posting new content: because there’s always more & what else would be the point?!
- developing a solid, monthly, backup system!! (THIS is #growth 😉 )
- protecting my IP (intellectual property) with the proper legal thangs
Incidentally, my other blog, Stroked Up (formerly Rehab Revolution), was also taken down in 2018. That was a different issue entirely (involving some darned pirate bots!), and an even bigger blow to my past efforts, because I’d already been working on the content for that blog for a decade and I’d been much more focused and consistent there than on this blog.
So as I rebuild this one slowly but surely (as of today all the old content has been backposted — woohoo!), I’ve set out to also rebuild that one and to patiently grow it. This will involve all the above intentions plus a practice of supporting the growth of the blog and its viewership.
Yay! This is rooting down & growing up in progress. 😉
